Scope and controller
These notes describe the delivered version 1.6.0 of Luma & Leaves for Android, package de.jybitsandbyteslab.taulicht. JTSR Bits and Bytes Lab is the studio name used by an individual. Controller: Jeruyaan Yogarajah, Germany. Contact: contact@jtsr-lab.com.
In simple words
Your garden stays on your device. The game does not send your saved progress to us. You do not need a game account and can play without internet access. Getting the app through Google Play, visiting the website or writing to us involves separate data processing, explained below.
What the app stores on your device
In its private Android app storage, the game keeps progress, stars, pollen, level attempts and hint status, restored plant colour areas, inventory, object positions, garden names you choose, garden region, weather selection, planting timestamps and settings. This enables you to continue playing, receive rewards, arrange your garden and see artistically compressed plant growth. Garden names stay local.
No transmission of your game saves
These game saves are not sent to JTSR or a game service. There is no game login, game server, public garden page, leaderboard or chat. The app contains no advertising, Firebase or its own analytics SDK.
Permissions
The delivered app requests only the Android VIBRATE permission for optional haptic feedback. Internet, network status and billing permissions are removed from the manifest. The app does not access your camera, microphone, location, contacts or photos.
Shop and prepared billing library
The shop is in development and uses earned pollen only, with no cash value. A prepared library for Google Play purchases is included, but the payment integration remains disabled and its billing client is not started. There are no real-money purchases, and the app collects no payment data.
Music, images and device time
Music and plant geometry are generated locally. Short effects may be stored in the private app cache; textures are bundled with the app. The app makes no image, audio or AI requests to external services. Growth and daily puzzles use local device time, not a time server. Weather is a game setting, not a lookup of the weather at your location.
Storage, updates and deletion
Android cloud backups are disabled, and the exclusion rules also cover device transfers. JTSR offers no cloud restoration. Uninstalling or clearing app data removes your local save. A compatible, correctly signed update is intended to preserve it; do not uninstall first. There is no server-side game account and therefore no account deletion feature. Earlier saves are migrated locally only.
Google Play and Android
The app has no analytics integration of its own and does not send your local save to us. When distributing through Google Play, we use only the standard reports it provides on usage and technical quality. Processing by Google Play and Android is separate from this app’s local data storage and follows the respective Google services and settings. No additional analytics integration such as Firebase is currently included.
Diagnostic reports and their limits
Android Vitals uses shared usage and diagnostic data from supported devices. APKs installed directly from outside Google Play are not included there. These platform reports are not complete personal gameplay histories; coverage of every player or guaranteed anonymity of all reports is not promised. This app’s offline design does not mean that Google or Android never process data.
Website, support and testing
Visiting this website and sending voluntary emails are also covered by the website privacy notice. It describes the separate processing, data subject rights and the hosting and email details. Please do not send passwords, identity documents or complete private game saves. There is currently no tester registration or active participation link here. Any future registration and voluntary test reports will be explained separately in advance.
Future changes
Before online features, our own analytics or purchases are introduced, data flows, the audience including children, legal bases, any necessary consent, store disclosures and these notes must be reviewed again. These features are not active in the version described.
